- Millennium Park – Be sure to snap a photo at this year-round beauty – It’s just one of the city’s eye-catching pieces of public art. The summer season brings FREE outdoor music concerts, film screenings and the winter months are just as enchanting, as McCormick Tribune Plaza transforms into a picturesque ice skating rink.
- Navy Pier – With 50 acres filled with gardens, amusement rides, shops, eateries and attractions so remains a top Midwest tourist destination. There’s no cost to enter and just a stroll along the waterfront boardwalk to see the downtown horizon is worth a trip. On top of that, FREE fireworks at Navy Pier fill the sky each summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day so stick around each Wednesday and Saturday night.

Save the $20 you’d use to go up the Sears Tower (and get a much better view) by hitting the bar on the 95th floor of the Hancock Center.
- Lakefront Trail
Hit the Lakefront Trail to run, walk, bike or roller blade with the blue waters of Lake Michigan to one side and gorgeous, green parks to the other. Along the trail are parks, beaches and gardens; recreation areas including playgrounds, soccer fields, volleyball nets and tennis courts.

As one of the nation’s premier displays of rare plant species, the Garfield Park Conservatory has a half dozen greenhouses and two large exhibition halls.
